I have loved photography ever since I was a little girl. When I was 5 a professional photographer came to our house and I just remember being fascinated with his camera and all his movements and lights.
I was given my first camera when I was 12 and I can still recall getting my first batch of photographs back from the camera store. There was a beautiful picture of a palm tree surrounded by sand with the ocean and a gorgeous sky at the back. I was the one who had taken it and I was instantly hooked.
My most favorite thing by far is photographing people. I love the connection I form with each person I get to photograph. There is something magical about each individual and I find it fun to discover that uniqueness with each session I have. Babies are magical, teens are fun, women are beautiful and toddlers are ... toddlers are ... well, let's say toddlers just are what ever they want to be that day. :) I know I have 2 of them, and they are my most challenging but rewarding sittings.
During my life I have exposed myself whenever I can to photography courses, darkrooms and now Photoshop. I continually try to improve, learn, explore and push my creative boundaries.
I have taken some photo courses in college and studied in Crealde School of Art in Orlando, Florida. I'm a member of the Cleveland Photographic Society and recently 3 of my pictures have been published in a book by famous photography author David D. Busch. Hopefully I will continue this love affair till the day my hands can't hold a camera or a tripod any longer, but then again I'm sure Canon or Nikon will have come up with something fantastical and futuristic by then. One can only hope!
